Onyx Equinox brings the bloody sacrificial world of Mesoamerica to life in an enjoyable, yet flawed, animated series. I can't comment on the accuracy of the cultural depictions, but the interplay between the Gods & heroes is engaging enough, after a few episodes to find its rhythm. With colourful animation & childish characters, the show is seems aimed at teens though the level of violence is questionable. My main complaint is with Izel (voiced by Brown) who is distractingly effeminate & whiny.
