Perhaps what I saw wasn't sufficient for me to make a fair assessment, but I won't invest any more time in watching it.

I think it's off to a good start. I think it's not quite as strong as the original Orphan Black was at the start, but there's a good foundation here that they could build to be something great, and I love the connections the show has to the original Orphan Black. There was one thing they did at the end of the season though that I did not like.

The original had serious attention to detail, a skilled cast, and a compelling, unique story. Sadly, Echoes misses the mark on each of those primarily due to LAZY writing, but also an amateurish cast that couldn't make up for it. Had this been a standalone show, not trying to shoehorn in awkward tie-ins, perhaps it could have been a more intriguing watch. Instead each episode just serves as a reminder that production these days is more concerned about quantity rather than quality.
