With this and MY NAME IS BILL W., Woods and Garner turned out some fine work together within the bounds of the telefilm, Hallmark at that. The "electric wires" monologue is an indelible piece of acting and writing, articulating the visceral reality and social effects of the character's illness without schmaltz, originated by Woods through research with schizophrenics. Garner's unlikeable character helps make for a more likeable, interesting, and believable movie than the notably similar RAIN MAN
