In 1955 Japan, six juvenile delinquents are sent to the brutal Shōnan Special Reformatory, where they endure systemic abuse and harsh living conditions. Alongside an older inmate who becomes their mentor, the boys form an unbreakable bond of loyalty, learning to survive the cruelty of the institution while holding onto hope for a better future outside its walls.
