Requiem

Bit disappointed at the end - straddled different genres without adding to them.

Requiem is at times a taut and densely woven supernatural myster, but it can also be a melodramatic slog when trying to build character. I give it props for constructing a mystery that I wasn't able to properly unravel until the last episode, which is rare to do these days. It's part Broadchurch and part Rosemary's Baby, but unfortunately has a cast of somewhat uncompelling characters, and Tilly's TERF bangs are atrocious. Luckily, this is all made up by interesting lore and an unsettling mood.
