Mr. Dangerfield eats too much. He smokes too much. He's a terrible dresser. He sweats in cold weather. All this, and less, he has blended into a comic persona aimed at anyone (meaning everyone) who's ever imagined himself a victim. His plaintive lament - ''It's not easy bein' me'' - has become a catch phrase that rivals ''I don't get no respect,'' for instant recognition.
