"A great mix of whimsy & heart. [...] the 2nd [season] deliver[s] on multiple setups from the 1st. The characters can get a little grating & not every episode is a hit, but the writing & mythology make the entire series worthwhile." That was my review for Gravity Falls, but the two series have a remarkable number of similarities. Velma is a tad annoying & Scooby's girlfriend was unsettling. The pop-culture references were very well-written. A good incarnation, that is still massively overhyped.
