Scatman CrothersBorn Benjamin Sherman Crothers in Terre Haute, Indiana. Songwriter, actor, composer, singer, comedian and guitarist who, after high school, appeared in nightclubs, hotels, films and on television. He joined ASCAP in 1959, and his popular-song compositions also include "The Gal Looks Good", "Nobody Knows Why", "I Was There", "A Man's Gotta Eat" and "When, Oh When". Scatman Crothers died at age 76 of pneumonia and lung cancer at his home in Van Nuys, California on November 22, 1986.
Frank Welker was born in Colorado. He followed his dream in California, and started a voice acting career which has amassed over five decades of hundreds of credits, accolades, and friends. Frank worked with fellow voice actors Casey Kasem, Nicole Jaffe, Don Messick, Heather North, and Indira/Stefanianna Christopherson on Hanna-Barbera's iconic Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, voicing Fred Jones, among other Scooby credits over the years.
Mel Blanc was born in San Francisco but moved to Portland at a young age. He started in radio but later he would voice his first cartoon character in "Picador Porky" where he played a drunken bull. He would go on to voice some of the most beloved characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, and Tweety Bird among hundreds of others. He was known for his range as a voice actor, nicknamed "The Man of a Thousand Voices", he is considered one of the most influential people in his field.
