Usually nothing strikes fear into my heart like the phrase 'Netflix comedy special'. But this is a thoughtful, reflective and brave comedy routine where the laughs are helped along by sharing the joys and pains of Amstell's stories about himself.

More of a thoughtful one-man show than a comedy special for large swaths. Reminds me of Demitri Martin's If I special which also let the humor take a bit of a back seat to the introspection. Quite interesting at any rate.
