If I have to quickly point to a perfect TV episode script, it'd be this one. (It's so good, it was basically remade into the best film of the bunch: Wrath of Khan.) There are civilizations at stake, a battle of wills between opposing equals, a duel of high-technology's limitations (how much sci-fi works in that?), using the best classical adventure tropes so eloquently you barely notice. It begins with a wedding and ends with a wake. The good guys win, I guess.
