Stone Ocean is wonky in terms of the quality of its fights and its narrative beats don't really pick up until the 2end half. But I won't deny that Stone Ocean has some of the best plot beats in the series and one of its most engaging villains that retroactively elevates previous parts in a way part 4/5 didn't. There's a sense of somber finality to this part I never would have expected from Jojo, and it's a damn fine conclusion to the thematic ideas that the series played with up to this point.
