The history of direct war against ideas has been proven to be disastrous because they are the consequence of socio-economic factors instead of ideas (e.g. the Koran). If you want to win this fight look at the Marshall plan, the Enlightenment, Vietnam or the fight against communism in general. They were won through stabilization and economic advancement, not by stigmatizing your own muslim population to cause them to drift away further from integration towards polarization and radicalization.

If you're living in a relatively free part of the world and want to know how women in proper-Muslim countries are doing, watch this. Especially if you're a woman yourself. And it's not only a political film. It has a cool and gripping atmosphere and a ritual flow, and just the right amount of eroticism (which might be considered out of place but somehow it isn't). After watching it I felt that someone had to do something like this and I was glad that it has been done so beautifully.

The movie for which Theo Van Gogh was assassinated and Ayaan Hirsi Ali had to flee Holland, a valid criticism of fundamentalist Islam's oppression of women.
