Tales of the City

Entertaining enough re-boot, populated with a bunch of irritating millennials (redundant). Definitely a mixed bag, it's at its best when it focuses on the adults. Olympia Dukakis is great, as always. In previous iterations, I don't remember Laura Linney's character being so brittle and unlikable, nor do I remember so many plot elements being driven by irrational, hyper-emotional responses to, you know, life. Murray Bartlett and Charlie Barnett make about the prettiest gay couple ever.
