The 39 Steps

Watchable but bland, generic TV thriller from the BBC stables even includes a few cheeky tips of the hat to Hitchcock, but only serves to remind what a master Hitch was at handling this sort of material. Performers are competent but uninspired, and while tension never reaches anything resembling nerve-wracking (or even mildly agitating) it remains a painless way to kill 85 minutes.

A decent version, some of the changes felt a bit forced. Suffers compared to the Hitchcock version.
