While their marriage may have started off happily, Kate now finds that her police officer husband Paul has grown more unstable and abusive with each passing year. At long last, she leaves him and tries to start a new life for herself. Paul, however, has become obsessed with the thought of getting Kate back, and starts stalking her. The problems mainly boil down to star power, or lack thereof. Principal, as usual, comes across as an unpleasant narrow-assed harpy who'd bathe in the blood of her children to be 18 years old and the prom queen again; I don't care what happens to her. Casting Hays, the star of _Airplane!_, as a stalker is ridiculous. On top of that, there are flashbacks in which the principal actors are SO NOT 20 years old. Peerce, who once did real films, must have been, ah, self-medicating during the shoot
