Uneven series of documentaries that offers a variety of perspectives on the subject. Some of them bland and expository while others intimate and insightful, what's impressive about it is that each part frames and approaches the music with completely different parameters. This actually works to partially excuse the weaker episodes, since as a whole, it highlights the eclectic breadth of its subject if nothing else.
