The Comey Rule

This is just pure liberal propaganda. Interesting Showtime would air it right before the elections. Everything is so exaggerated it's almost comedy. But as a work of fiction it was entertaining at least.

Intriguing political saga is cursed and blessed by Comey's involvement - at its best (and most gripping) detailing the inner minutiae of FBI procedural details, but the domestic scenes, and its hagiographic portrait of Comey, are a little overwritten and overdone. Gleeson makes for a persuasive Trump, though as he remains a bland cipher (as true to life as it may be), a certain level of inscrutability is inevitable. Crackerjack supporting cast down the line, with typically nice work from Hunter.

I watched the actual Comey say Gleeson was convincing as the "intimidating" Trump most of us don't get to see. To me the result was a bit too one-dimensional, however, as Trump's signature clownish presence is all but missing and he comes off as a straight-up villain rather than the tragicomic mess he is in real life.
