An interesting post-apocalyptic, high-concept TV series that by the end of it becomes a somewhat more straight-forward alien invasion mind-control series. The big mystery surrounds Juan and his blackouts, and how they play into it - and not the other characters.

If you into apocalyptic shows you'll like this one. Recommended.

S01 - The Eternaut is a great series, with high production value, strong performances, and an intriguing plot. In the final episodes, however, it falls into the same clichés as other works in the genre and feels somewhat superficial. Still, it remains an engaging watch.

Adapting El Eternauta, one of the most important comics in Argentine history, was no easy task—let alone turning it into a series without losing its essence. But Netflix’s version largely pulls it off. Not perfectly, but with ambition, respect for the source material, and technical quality that’s a pleasure to watch. Starts off a bit flaky, but gets better in the second part of the season. Strong, excellent cast. The story is only based on the comic, so don't come in expecting that. It's still more than a decent apocalyptic show, but it is not the Eternaut of legends. I'll watch season 2 though, it is a good show.
