The animation quality is similar to that of the series. These episodes take place between the two seasons of the Galaxy Railways series. We follow the characters from this series and those from Galaxy Express 999 alternately. Some CGI animation is not particularly successful. Mystery surrounds various plot points, and we are given only a little information at a time. There are flashback sequences.
