Do not fall for the charm of its The-Thing-meets-Rashomon setup! Do not watch it all in hopes of a clever, redeeming twist. No, the heaping helpings of cliches aren't an artifact of an unreliable narrator--it really *is* the quality of the script. And it only gets worse and worse until its some kind of Lifetime channel drivel that tries to make some feminist point only to double over itself in a flurry of voice-overs, flashbacks, and a single high piano note to really up the "drama."

One of those "there's a dark secret in the past that makes everyone go insane" type postmodern lite stories, this series has some great filming but ends up with a nonsensical plot that forces these actors into ludicrous, hobbled roles. "The Head" is more like a lobotomy for the viewer.
