Dennis Hopper is a Sidney Sheldonesque (Dominick Dunnean?) writer whose portrait of a decadent, incestuous family gets him offed by its unhinged son. Eric Stoltz is the asshole reporting on it. The decision to make the lead so unlikable is admirable in theory, but it's overdone in every way and he advances to intolerable. Jennifer Connelly TV-Whapow.
