Bergman's one-act play written for a screening of two silent films: who else would have gone to this kind of effort? Stages an encounter between director (Georg af Klerckner) and producer (Charles Magnusson) at the moment of the dissolution of all possibilities for the former, from which Bergman draws out every drop of psychodrama he can muster, no doubt thinking about difficulties he himself suffered at SF, formed in 1919 from a merger between Skandiafilm and Magnusson’s Svenska Biografteatern.
