Watched this back when it came out. First of all, the animation and voice-acting are pretty dire. The scénario is not all bad though: a lot of dialogue is lifted exactly from their letters (or other texts), which despite having a stilted affect makes it compelling enough. The theme song (or am I thinking of the outro song?) was kind of catchy, which I guess is the idea for that kind of thing.
