The Light We Carry: Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey

Superficial, but genial and enjoyable interview, which is really just a slightly more sedate and even-handed version of the sort of interview Winfrey would have featured on her TV show – thankfully it’s Obama herself that elevates this, proving herself an interesting and thoughtful interview subject; indeed it almost makes you wish she could sit for a more probing and serious-minded interviewer; Winfrey acquits herself well, but we are well and truly in her SOP ballpark. Still good fun.
