My recollection is that this was a kind of intriguing series for children that made use of elements of Aboriginal myth to create a story that had some slight ecological themes. I vaguely recall that Rodney Bell, the young boy who played the protagonist, was quite likeable: apparently he died of cancer in 2005, at the age of 39. The series is based on a book that I read for school in Year 7.
