A woman is dying in her apartment. Two friends visit her and she tells them she wants to go to Chinatown. They convince her not to go, and then leave themselves. Unable to stand her confinement, the woman dies. (imdb)

In the 1950s, Wood made a run of cheap and poorly produced genre films, now humorously celebrated for their technical errors, unsophisticated special effects, idiosyncratic dialogue, eccentric casts and outlandish plot elements, although his flair for showmanship gave his projects at least a modicum of critical success. Wood's popularity waned soon after his biggest "name" star, Béla Lugosi, died. He was able to salvage a saleable feature from Lugosi's last moments on film, but his career declined thereafter.

The first thing infamous Edward D. Wood Jr. did! I've only seen the movie about him, but none of his work, so this had me intrigued. A straight-forward melodrama of a dying woman and two of the people in her life. Some say it's the best think he ever did, but I'm sure I'll get more entertainment value out of more cheesy attempts. I felt Angela Stevens carried this thing well. She was the allure. Funny seeing cowboy star Tom Keene trying to revamp his career under the name Richard Powers.
