Tepid telling of what should have been fascinating material squanders a lot of time on "black sheep" brother (and clear lost cause) Nagaitis - his spiral into addiction and ruin may have been more interesting if it had been the focus, but because this is a story of his sisters, what we ultimately get is 2 hours of anecdotes about a wayward relative, rather than really getting to the heart of the sisters' literary impact. Pryce is excellent as usual as the doddery patriarch.
