Trial by Media

Ironically shallow. The execution is really more "cases where there was major coverage", so don't look for anything insightful about the interaction of justice & media, or any thesis at all really. I'm lowkey convinced Netflix took whatever crime documentaries they had in the pipeline that couldn't get enough footage to stand on their own and just slapped them up under this loose label "uhh media story big" for a series to prevent a total wash.

Most of these cases were from the 90's. Imagine how much worse it would have been had social media been a thing back then. It's much worse now, trial by both tv media and the internet. It's almost impossible to be "innocent" nowadays, if even the slightest negative thing about you comes out. Society is doomed.
