In terms of plot and dialog, this is very very tropey, with a lot of really obvious beats and clear places where the flaws of other works are reflected. But... it also has these super-heated unironic emotions about friendship and heroism and brotherhood leaking recklessly out, and thru these creates some really intense, fun, and occasionally even touching moments! Plus, it's short enough to keep from wearing out its welcome, and shiny enough that it goes down easy.
