A wonderfully low-budget and cheesy show, the kind where they fill in gaps in the budget with creative reuse of pre-existing assets and goofy but heartfelt characterization, like a Doctor Who serial from decades ago. Plus, it really does back up its "Ultraman doesn't fight for humanity, he fights *alongside* humanity" rhetoric, with all of the supporting cast getting moments of glowy superhero and super-monster action. All that in just twelve episodes!
