I love alternate history settings, and Youjo Senki nails it! The constant clash between Tanya and Being X is both hilarious and compelling, adding a touch of humor to the otherwise dark tone. Tanya’s struggle to rise through the ranks while dealing with divine interference makes every victory feel earned. It’s a perfect balance of dark themes and feel-good moments, making it engaging without being overly depressing.

I don't know why this show was praised so much. It was dumb. There were no character development. I had no sympathy for Tanya. It didn't have to be an iseaki show and the entire time I was watching it I was wondering does the show get better? I didn't. I should have stopped at episode 2.

Alternative take on the European wars with crazy little girl at the center of the evil. That's the familiar, depressing and cute way for me to get into Japanese anime.
