35-year-old architect Seung-Min receives a visit at his office from a woman. Seung-Min doesn't recognize the woman at first, but then realizes the woman is Seo-Yeon. Seo-Yeon is his first love, but he hasn't seen her since his freshman year in college. Seo-Yeon now has a request. She wants to hire Seung-Min to rebuild her home on Jeju Island. 15 years ago, Seung-Min is a naive young man beginning his architecture studies in college. The movie does so many things well and then it fumbles the ball in a big way. There doesn't seem to be a reason for the play which causes the fumble, and this is a huge disappointment. But the acting is good, and the story is compelling, if somewhat familiar. An enjoyable movie, a romance with pretty actresses and a kind of where-did-we-go-wrong sadness that, at least for me, rang bitterly and sweetly true.

A decent Korean romance that hits all the right heartstrings. No matter how effective it was, I couldn't help but feel like the movie was very set in it's selection of a target audience. Maybe it's because the girls are cute and the men look like girls dress them, the dialog is schmaltzy and the tried awfully hard to get me to cry. Even if I'm not a woman, I'm not Korean, and Romance isn't my forte, a degree of quality does shine through.
