Mr. and Mrs. Martin Johnson take a flying trip across darkest Africa (sponsored by Fox Movietone News), and film everything in sight before returning to New York,where the Fox Movietone Newsreel department made something out of the footage they brought back. As usual, staged scenes of danger and peril, such as landing their plane on an unexplored lake filled with crocodiles, which didn't seem to bother whoever was on the unexplored shore shooting the landing. More adventure from the documentary couple Martin & Osa Johnson that brought us "Congorilla (1932)". It's nothing more then random animal and landscape shots of Africa blended in with a few comedy moments with the local black people. A bit boring, but a few cute animal moments of baby cheetahs, monkeys, a small elephant and big nosy rhinos. Nothing more then a curiosity and for those that are interested in early animal documentaries and how they looked before the days of David Attenborough.
