Brides of Blood

A bizarre albeit fun watch. It's a precursor to many of the cannibal films but with a more innocent 50's Sci-fi tone (and 50's Sci-fi naive understanding of the world, radiation and science in general) despite the nudity and gore. There are some really neat practical effects of tree roots come to life, but the monster itself is pretty weak. There are visible strings all over the place but then the transformation scene is well done. Not sure who this is for but I enjoyed it.

Racist, sexist, and so atrocious it's gold, Brides of Blood has everything you need in a grindhouse film: busty women, trees that wave severed limbs around, and a monster that will fuck you to death.
