A by-the-numbers mystery/drama, which impresses as it goes along due to its mature tone, and refusal to descend into the silly horror tropes that often plague this genre. The story occasionally flirts with venturing into the supernatural, but wisely pulls back each time, leaving us on the "that was just a dream / flashback" side of ambiguity. Ok acting, and the crisp natural lighting only enhances the lovely scenery of northern Sweden. Directed with skilful restraint by relative newcom
