Terrible overly melodramatic acting from Edmund Lowe was the highlight of this precoder. One of the rare non-muicals Jeanette MacDonald did, and honestly, without showing off that amazing voice of hers, she was just another actress in the early 30s. It really was Lowe and Roland Young who lifted this mediocre movie t watch it became. Oh, and a little sweet interference from Una Merkel didn't hurt. The films is a little antiquated, but for this specific time period it's not so bad.
