Drifters

A very coherent and interesting documentary about the fishing trade taking us from the ship leaving the port to the fish being shipped off for consumption all in a brisk 40 minutes. It's not full of information but it has all you need for its purposes. It's interesting how it was almost an ode to modernity and now it stands as a quaint picture of the past. The highlight, however, isn't the subject but the visuals. It's a stunningly shot film, and edited just as well, creating a wonderful rhythm.
