This is political filmmaking. In response to an article calling her reserve "DrunkTown, USA" Freeland creates a film that isn't preachy and that doesn't lie about the problems involved in her community. It's just people trying to live their lives with various struggles. I think this film can be be summed up with a line from the character Nizhoni (that I can't remember the direct wording of) "My family may be drunks, but I will be the one to judge that"
