Focus

Quietly powerful, thoughtful study of prejudice, and the herd mentality which fans it; presents its material in a superficially overwrought, allegorical fashion, but by presenting it in this way, it makes the film more universal and less specific, as the director, writer and performers can break free from reality in order to achieve maximum impact. Macy and Dern are superb as the couple under siege, but Paymer steals every scene he is in as a victimised store owner.

Doesn't leave much of an impression. I don't think it makes its point very well, but at least it's a unique way of doing it.
