Mostly a unremarkable German Napoleon biopic from the days he was released from exile. Visually i has its moments, but story wise more on the dull side. The Italian version Campo di maggio (1934) was made at the same time. The thing that makes this interesting are from the production part of it, because the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini had a big hand in this, writing it and even educating Werner Krauss on how to play Napoleon. Krauss had played Napoleon before. So that's fascinating.
