Four young offenders and their workers spend a weekend in the remote Yorkshire village of Mortlake, which prides on keeping itself to itself. A minor incident with locals rapidly escalates into a blood-soaked, deliriously warped nightmare. (imdb)

Starts off decent enough and has some pretty good gore and effects however these are some of the most passive characters I've ever seen. In addition none of the "torture games" stuff was interesting and all attempts fell flat.

With the exception of Hartley everything I saw was played so awfully that it stopped being fiction, became just a string of gormless lies.

Surprisingly good. Not for most people unless you're into horror/gore. Fun story with good showmanship and excellent kills. Some dumb character decisions (as always with these types of films), but well crafted for the most part and a great ending that isn't your typical Hollywood finale.

Has the goods for splatter and torture-porn buffs, if you're okay with shoddy CG effects, but otherwise awful. This is no The Hills Have Eyes - Chandon lacks any sense of human sympathy, emotion or realistic behavior, to the degree that people in this movie rarely make any attempt to dodge incoming blows. All he offers us is the notion of brutality as fun, and while some viewers found humor here, I thought it was just dumbly adolescent
