promising and clever direction for a trite and meandering narrative... but shouldn't this have won an MTV movie award on principle??

Good to see the MTV Moon Man getting work...

It will be hard for some to see the levels of violence, womanizing, and self-identification through consumerism that occur in this movie without the main characters coming to realizations and making changes for the better. It was hard for me even. Of course, it's not a movie's responsibility to make me feel completely comfortable and happy by the end. I would probably be bitching here about a sell out ending if it did. It's just very realistic and raw experience that I need to think about more.

Solid character development and messaging. The plot moves in a somewhat clumsy way but eventually gets to where it wants to go.
