Late Extra

James Mason is a bit too much like an eager-beaver in first movie role. He's a news reporter that's very interested in clearing up a murder case. A slight distraction is Chaplin's 'blind girl' from City Lights (1931) Virginia Cherrill. And for laughs you have Alastair Sim as the editor. Not much depth to this murder story. One of those easy popcorn movies that makes an hour pass alright.
