Dark and atmospheric underworld drama from the early days of French talking cinema. More for it's subtle sexual undertones than the excitement. Surprisingly well made, though missing that extra ingredient to make it among the true classics from the period. With that said, this is a real nice supplement for those that have seen all the other classics from that time.
