Life Story of John Lee, or The Man They Could Not Hang

I never have much expectations when it comes to Australian silent cinema. There's weren't exactly in the forefront of movie making back then, but at times they did make simple and somewhat charming pictures. And I guess this was that. Not exactly an inspiring story as it's related to an alleged killer getting lucky and not getting killed by hanging when the trap didn't work. But they hype it up as such, giving it religious tones. Liked better the bits focusing on his childhood.
