Beautiful nature and cooking

This was a very sweet and heartwarming little drama. The direction, pacing, and acting were all stellar.

Practically every scene involving cooking is stellar, mouth-watering and inspiring in the way only food porn can be. The rest of the movie is really light, low on conflict and plot. The problem is that the plot that is there isn't that engaging, something the characters inhabiting this fluffy world lack as well. The filmmaking is occasionally magnificent but didn't infuse me with the warmth and comfort I hoped. I never really lost the sense that they were romanticizing poverty to a degree.
