Love on the Dole

Those hard working poor folks struggling to make ends meet. Not much sun shining here apart from a teenage Deborah Kerr showing her promise in her first big role. Fairly routine hard-luck story, a slow burner, which becomes a respectable take on a bleak tale. Quality for sure, but could have needed some harder punches to really make it wretched.
