My Wife's Gone to the Country

An almost forgotten part of US animation history. The Fleischer's bouncing ball Screen Songs! They made countless of them during the 30s, yet few remain memorable. They are a combination of the popular tunes of the day with the words coming across the screen while they fill the rest of the 7 minutes with a few animation gags. It's like a half-animation short and half song hybrid. This one has a very brief cameo of Betty Boop and is otherwise a typical example of it's kind.
