Celebrating the musical vibes of New Orleans (1947), the tacked on plot is underwhelming and very white. But hey, Louis Armstrong is here so screw the story and enjoy the music. Actually the main appeal is seeing Billie Holiday in her ONLY credited movie role! And naturally being a black woman, the only suitable role she could get in Hollywood in those days was as a maid.... she does get to sing a little bit.
