Second feels kinda flat because the heist subplot works bu it's not as interesting and engrossing as the walking and talking of the first. Still, here's an engrossing slice of life -- people trying to make it, making good and bad decisions, going to work, not going to work, falling in love, separating, smoking pot -- film that conveys strong social realism but refuses an anthropological, distant approach.
